  • Every employee row is checked against the register's own totals before a slip is made.
  • Allowances are placed on the correct BPS line automatically.
  • Slips are produced as A4 PDFs — one per employee and/or one combined file for printing.

How it works

From salary register to signed slips in three steps

01

Open the register

Drop this month's Excel salary register on the tool. The salary month is read from its title; change it in the top bar if needed.

02

Review the checks

Each employee is marked Ready, Check, Error or No pay. Click anyone to see their slip and exactly what needs attention.

03

Download the PDFs

One A4 PDF per employee in a ZIP, one combined PDF for printing, or both. Export the validation report as CSV for the file.

Built-in checks

A slip only goes out when the numbers add up.

Hand-typed slips drift from the register. PaySlip Maker reads the register itself and reconciles every figure before anything is printed.

  • Allowances add up to the register's Total; deductions to Total Deductions; and Total − Deductions = Net Payable.
  • Office sub-totals and the grand total are reconciled with the employees above them.
  • Percentage allowances (e.g. 20% of running basic pay) are checked against their stated rate.
  • Text in amount cells, negative amounts, missing designations and invalid BPS are flagged.
  • Duplicate names in the same office are pointed out in case a row was pasted twice.
  • Lines are rounded to whole rupees and totals are the sum of printed lines, so every slip adds up on paper.
Register format

Works with the standard government salary register

Columns are matched by their heading text, not their position — a new or moved column next year still works.

Pay & allowances recognised

Basic Pay, Personal Pay, Special / Additional Charge, Senior Post, Telephone monetization, Entertainment, Deputation, House Rent, Medical, Conveyance (incl. disabled employees), Orderly, Qualification, Computer, Integrated, Special Allowance 2013, Disparity Reduction (2021, 2022, 2025, 2026), Ad-hoc Relief (2023, 2024, 2026), Dearness, Washing, Utility and Group Insurance contribution.

Deductions recognised

General Provident Fund, Income Tax (net after rebate), Tax on Monetization, GPF Advance, Motor Car, Motor Cycle, Solarization and House Building advances, Recovery (LFP / absence), Benevolent Fund and Group Insurance. Any other column is still printed on the slip under its own heading — nothing is dropped.

PaySlip Maker FAQs

Salary slip questions, answered

Is my salary register uploaded to your server?

No. PaySlip Maker reads the Excel file inside your own browser and builds the slips there too. The register, the employee names and the amounts are never sent to Asaan Tech or anyone else.

What format does the salary register need to be in?

The usual government salary register in Excel (.xls or .xlsx): one heading row containing NAME, DESIGNATION and BPS, the pay and allowance columns, a Total column, the deduction columns, Total Deductions and Net Payable. Columns are recognised by their heading text, so their order does not matter. Download the sample register to see the layout.

How are allowances placed on the right BPS line?

Allowances that have different rates for different pay scales — for example Ad-hoc Relief 2023 at 35% for BPS 1–16 and 30% for BPS 17–22 — are printed on the line that matches the employee’s own BPS, so the slip never shows an amount against the wrong band.

What does the tool check before making a slip?

Every employee row is reconciled against the register’s own totals: allowances must add up to Total, deductions to Total Deductions, and Total minus deductions to Net Payable. Office sub-totals and the grand total are checked too, along with text in amount cells, invalid BPS values and percentage allowances that do not match their stated rate.

Can I add our own logo, header and signatory?

Yes. Open Settings to set the header lines, organisation name, two logos, slip title, signatory and footer note. They are saved in your browser, so the next month’s slips use them automatically.

How do I get the PDFs?

Choose one PDF per employee (downloaded as a ZIP, with a folder per office if you like), one combined PDF for printing, or both. For the sharpest print, use “Print / Save as PDF”, which keeps the text selectable.

Is the amount written in words?

Yes. Net pay is written in words automatically, in either the international style (Thousand, Million) or the Pakistani style (Thousand, Lakh, Crore).

Is PaySlip Maker free?

Yes — free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on the number of employees.
