1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service form an agreement between you (or the business or institution you represent) and DiJEN Tech (SMC Private) Ltd, trading as Asaan Tech, a company registered with the SECP.
By creating an account, using any Asaan Tech product, or using our free online tools, you confirm that you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are agreeing on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have the authority to bind it. If you do not agree, do not use the services.
2. The services we provide
Asaan Tech provides:
- Asaan Pay — an online payment gateway supporting Raast QR, card and mobile wallet payments;
- Asaan Hisab — a khata, stock and sale-purchase application for web, desktop and Android;
- Asaan School — a school management system;
- imagEdit — free image and PDF tools requiring no account.
We may add, change or discontinue features. Where a change materially reduces functionality you rely on, we will give reasonable notice to account holders.
3. Your account
- You must give accurate registration information and keep it current.
- You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account.
- Tell us immediately at contact@asaan.tech if you suspect unauthorised access.
- You must be legally capable of entering a contract under Pakistani law, and — for business products — be operating a lawful business.
- Merchant accounts on Asaan Pay require identity and business verification before activation.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use our services to:
- Break any Pakistani law or regulation, including the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act 2016;
- Process payments for prohibited, fraudulent or illegal goods and services, or to launder money;
- Upload malware, or content that infringes someone else's intellectual property or privacy;
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, other users' accounts, or any data you are not entitled to;
- Probe, scan, overload or disrupt our infrastructure, or circumvent rate limits and security controls;
- Resell, sublicense or white-label our services without a written agreement with us;
- Scrape or bulk-extract data from our services by automated means without permission.
We may suspend access immediately where we reasonably believe these rules are being broken.
5. Your data and content
You own your data. The business records, student records, transaction history and files you put into our products remain yours. You grant us only the limited licence needed to host, process, back up and display that data so we can operate the service for you.
You are responsible for making sure you have the right to enter the data you upload — including, for schools, the right to hold student and guardian records. You can export your data at any time, and can request deletion as described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Payments and fees
- Subscription and transaction fees are set out in the pricing agreed with you when you sign up.
- Fees are quoted and payable in Pakistani Rupees (PKR) unless agreed otherwise, and are exclusive of taxes and duties unless stated.
- You are responsible for any taxes applicable to your own business.
- We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice to existing customers.
- Non-payment may result in suspension after we have given you notice and a chance to settle.
- For Asaan Pay, settlement timing depends on the payment method and the underlying processor's cycle. Chargebacks, refunds and disputes are handled under the rules of the relevant scheme or processor.
7. Free online tools
imagEdit is provided free of charge and without an account. Because it is free:
- It is offered "as is", with no service level commitment and no guarantee of availability;
- We may apply fair-use limits on file size or volume to keep the service usable for everyone;
- Uploaded files are deleted automatically after processing — keep your own copy of anything important;
- You must not use it to process unlawful content, and you must hold the rights to the files you upload.
8. Availability and support
We work to keep our services running reliably, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Planned maintenance will be announced in advance where practical. Unplanned downtime, network failures and force-majeure events can happen.
Support is provided by email in English and Urdu during Pakistani business hours. Any specific response-time commitment applies only if it is written into a separate agreement with you.
9. Intellectual property
The Asaan Tech software, branding, logos, product names ("Asaan Tech", "Asaan Pay", "Asaan Hisab", "Asaan School", "imagEdit"), designs and documentation belong to DiJEN Tech (SMC Private) Ltd or its licensors. You get a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the services for your own business purposes for as long as your account is in good standing.
You may not copy, decompile, reverse-engineer or create derivative works from our software except to the extent Pakistani law expressly permits.
10. Third-party services
Our services integrate with third parties — including Raast, operated by the State Bank of Pakistan, and the JazzCash payment gateway. Your use of those services is also governed by their own terms. We are not liable for their acts, omissions or outages, though we will help you resolve issues where we reasonably can.
11. Suspension and termination
You may close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate an account if you materially breach these terms, if we are required to by law or a regulator, or for prolonged non-payment after notice.
On termination, your right to use the services ends. We will make your data available for export for a reasonable period, after which it may be deleted, except where law requires us to retain it.
12. Disclaimers
Except where Pakistani law says otherwise, our services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
In particular: our products are business tools, not professional advice. Asaan Hisab and Asaan School help you keep records, but they are not a substitute for accounting, tax or legal advice, and you remain responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for your own regulatory filings.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Pakistani law, DiJEN Tech (SMC Private) Ltd is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill or anticipated savings, arising from your use of the services.
Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the services is limited to the amount you paid us for the affected service in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud.
You agree to indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your unlawful use of the services or your breach of these terms.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The "Last updated" date above always shows the current version. For material changes we will notify account holders by email or in-product notice before they take effect. Continuing to use the services after that means you accept the revised terms.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The courts of Pakistan have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. We would much rather resolve a problem by talking to you first — please contact us before starting any formal proceedings.
