CNIC, starting BPS, date of joining and the date you want the balance for — today, or the retirement date. Add an opening balance from an old GP Fund statement if you have one.
Enter the CNIC, starting BPS, date of joining and promotions — get the GP Fund contributions, the profit for every fiscal year and the estimated balance on any date, using the official Finance Division rates. Download it all as a working Excel file.
Minimum monthly GP Fund subscription (Rs) by BPS, from each Finance Division Office Memorandum. A row applies from its pay month until the next row. Rows marked Unverified are cited in later orders but their tables are not published online — enter the rates if you have the O.M.
Rate of profit credited on GP Fund balances for each fiscal year (1 July – 30 June), from the Finance Division Resolutions and the Budget Wing’s yearly letters on the rate of mark-up on the State Provident Fund.
For every pay month from the date of joining to the calculation date, the calculator finds the employee’s BPS (after any promotions) and the minimum subscription for that BPS in the table in force that month. Subscriptions above the minimum, suspension and extraordinary leave are not modelled.
“Where on account of promotion or reversion of a subscriber his rate of subscription changes, the change shall take effect only from the 1st of June next.” Choose this rule under Calculation options, or apply the new rate from the promotion month as many offices do.

Each promotion with its month and new BPS. The calculator picks the right BPS and the official subscription for every single month of service.
A year-wise statement with the notified profit rate for each year, a month-wise schedule, a printable PDF and a formula-driven Excel workbook.
No figure in this calculator is estimated. Where an order exists but its table isn’t published, the tool says so instead of guessing — and lets you type it in from your own copy.
Every rate is taken from a Finance Division document published on finance.gov.pk — the “Uniform rates of subscription towards General Provident Fund” Office Memoranda for subscriptions and the yearly Resolutions for the rate of profit. Each row in the Rate Changes and Profit Rates tabs links to its PDF.
The subscription tables issued in 2005 and 2011 are cited in later orders but are not published on the Finance Division website, so their amounts could not be verified. Rather than guess, the calculator counts those months as Rs 0 and tells you. If you have the O.M., enter its rates in the Rate Changes tab and the calculation updates.
As laid down in Rule 14 of the GPF (Federal Services) Rules: for each fiscal year (July–June) the notified rate is applied to the opening balance for twelve months and to every subscription from the date it was deposited until 30 June, and the total is rounded to the nearest rupee. In the final year profit runs only up to the calculation or retirement date.
Rule 11(2) of the GPF Rules says a change in subscription on promotion takes effect from the 1st of June following. Many offices simply change it from the promotion month. You can choose either under “Calculation options”.
The rate for the current year is usually notified after the year ends. Until then the calculator uses the assumed rate you set (the latest notified rate by default) and marks those years “Assumed”.
Yes. “Download Excel” gives a workbook with Rate Changes, Profit Rates, Grade Changes and an Employee Calculator sheet built from live formulas — change the CNIC, dates, BPS or a promotion in Excel and it recalculates. “Excel template” gives the same workbook with an illustrative employee.
No. The calculator runs in your browser. Saved employees and any rates you type are stored only in this browser on this device.
It is built for Federal Government employees. Provinces issue their own subscription tables and, in some years, their own profit rates — you can enter those in the Rate Changes and Profit Rates tabs, but check them against your provincial Finance Department notifications.
Every Federal Government GP Fund subscription table for BPS 1–22 since 2008 and every notified rate of profit since 2011-12, with the Finance Division O.M. or Resolution behind each figure.
